From 2007 onwards Towergate tlc has embarked on a long-term committed effort to raise our profile in the world of sport by offering our services to a wider audience. We believe we can specifically help National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) meet their challenges in demonstrating and delivering strong corporate governance and use insurance to offer a breadth of relevant additional services to affiliated clubs and members. Towergate tlc is able to access a wide range of insurers and has strong relationships with a number of companies and insurers at Lloyds of London.

The first stage in the process is through helping NGB’s by undertaking confidential reviews of their insurances and also by reviewing the adequacy of their risk management procedures. By carrying out these reviews we can help NGB’s to meet their obligations to the membership and the funding agencies. The overall benefit is to make sport safe demonstrating sound duty of care. If there are areas where remedial action is possibly required then we will offer suggestions that will.
